What is sacred geometry, and how can it support you?

If you have any awareness of the Kolorlan System, you may have seen me talk about it being built on Sacred Geometry. Similarly, if you are a member of the Temple of Rejuvenation, you will have begun to learn a little about the Sacred Geometry that supports our structure. I have also spoken about my private online space – the Find My Energy community – being represented and explained through the sacred geometry that is also embodied in its logo. So, what is Sacred Geometry, and why do I keep talking about it as if it is of any consequence?
Can it really support your health or wellbeing as some people claim? Well, this is what we are going to begin exploring today.
What is Sacred Geometry? A simplified explanation
On one level, this is just shapes – geometry. It becomes “sacred” when we begin to explore and understand it through the lens of hidden wisdom or esoteric belief. So, to give you a simple example, a circle is a piece of geometry. Understanding the circle as a representation of Oneness (the divine) is Sacred Geometry.
When I say “understanding”, I’m also talking about two levels. First, the level of the person who drew the circle – their intention. You could have no idea about the esoteric meaning, and simply draw a circle with no other intention than to draw that shape. Or, you might be drawing the circle in the context of creating a piece of religious or sacred art, in which case your choice to draw a circle and place it in a certain area is very intentional and is conveying some kind of message relating to the concept of oneness or the divine – or any other of the meanings encoded into this shape.
The second level is the level of the person who is looking at the circle. If they are privy to these esoteric meanings, they have the capacity to study the image and receive many layers of meaning from it. In a sense, it is the adage of “a picture speaks a thousand words”. If they don’t understand the esoteric meanings, they are simply looking at a pretty picture – or a not-so-pretty picture!

An invitation to contemplate
But here is where things become interesting and open to interpretation – and I’m going to invite you to contemplate this idea.
Sacred Geometry with all its hidden meanings and the idea of a symbol encapsulating a huge amount of information, was perfectly “normal” in ancient societies. Today, I think more people than not would consider it “woo-woo”. In other words, something that we cannot prove or demonstrate through scientific method, so we should dismiss it as a thing that belonged to an older culture that thrived upon “magical thinking”. Whereas our modern scientific culture has “grown up” and moved beyond this into the world of reason and analysis.
Yet, the study of geometry in ancient times wasn’t actually about “making up meanings for shapes”. Nor even about channelling spirit beings who told us meanings. It was actually grounded in careful study of the natural world. In noticing things like the progression of a planet forms a specific shape as it moves through the sky – it’s not random. Or that leaves on the stem of a plant are arranged in a very specific, regular pattern, with a clear purpose of best supporting the plant’s survival by allowing it to maximise the amount of sunlight and moisture each leaf is able to absorb.

These studies noticed that nature isn’t random. It is built upon measurable principles that pertain to number and shape. And yes, I am introducing another layer here: number. Because shape is created through number – the number of sides, the numbers that determine the length of the sides and the angles of the corners.
And our modern scientific world hasn’t discounted these things: we design buildings according to numerical calculations and geometric shapes. We understand that certain shapes can be combined to support more or less robust structures. But what we have lost is the sense of “meaning and purpose”. I will return to expand on that idea in a moment.
First, here is the idea I would love you to contemplate: If geometry is really the fabric of the universe, encoded into the building blocks of life, then is there a subconscious level on which we all understand and read the geometry we see around us?
So, even if you did create an image of geometries without conscious intention, might you be subconsciously tapping into something encoded in your energy field or your DNA?
And again, even if you don’t consciously understand the images you are viewing, might there be some subconscious level on which your energy field receives messages from them?
Extending the idea: masculine, feminine and balance
If you might be willing to entertain the idea that the ancients weren’t all crazy or naïve, but actually had some kind of awareness that we’ve lost or forgotten, then I invite you to explore this next idea.
I am seeing this as a mirror of human evolution. You may be aware of more and more people talking about the rise of the Divine Feminine, or the end of the patriarchy. Perhaps you agree with this, perhaps you don’t. Perhaps you are simply a little confused about what this is and why it would even matter. And that is another whole topic for a separate article.
So, for now, I invite you to take a leap of faith and just run with the idea that we had some kind of ancient society that was matriarchal – where feminine principles were deeply understood and respected. And let’s say that in this society, the emphasis was on the creative aspect of shape and number. Not simply seeing it as a factual tool, but understanding it as having a deeper meaning as well.
Then, let’s say that there was some kind of shift in which we moved into this thing we’ve called patriarchy, where everything needs to be reduced to reason, rational, scientific and that process has caused us to forget that there is a more fluid, interpretive side to shape and number – that these things can tell a story as well as construct a material object.
And let’s say that this shift made sense because the “magical thinking” was limiting in some way. We did evolve as a species through our capacity to bring through measurement and reason and experimentation and replication.
And now, in our current era, we’re seeing that this over-emphasis on the rational, on power, on building, on linear expansion, is also out of balance. And what if the chaos that we’re seeing around us right now is actually a movement to a third way, a way that is more balanced and brings in both expressions of shape and number?
Might we be returning to balance?
So, yes, we maintain all the amazing utility we’ve gained from rigorous, rational study, and we layer into that the more subtle meaning. So, for example, we understand that if we build a pyramid, the “essence” or “energy” of the pyramid is actually changed by its size. It’s not simply a “bigger pyramid” – it actually carries a different meaning and therefore energy with it.
To understand this, we begin to understand the story that numbers and shapes convey – and, if you are familiar with Kolorlan, we can add colours onto that as well. So, a pyramid is healing: A square is grounding. We can create both of those shapes as buildings, but what is the purpose of the building? And would that be more suited to healing or grounding? Just to give a random example.
Then we can factor in that the number three carries an energy of the catalyst – it provokes a change. The number four carries a stable, grounding energy. A pyramid whose sides were calculated based on the number three would have a different kind of energy to a pyramid whose sides were calculated based on the number four.
So, what if we used those ideas to build our homes, our schools, our hospitals? Instead of saying, “I like that architecture and that size fits this space”, we’re now contemplating the purpose of the structure and how we would desire it to support us.
And, that is a digression that I didn’t fully see coming when I began writing this. It is also the stuff that I find absolutely fascinating, and I am leaning in to sharing more and more. I go much deeper into this inside my private community, which you can join for free at this link.
How can sacred geometry support you?
Well, in my future fantasy world where we understand this and have balanced both our “magical” and rational views, I’ve just suggested how we would be designing and constructing buildings to surround ourselves with supportive energy. But that’s not particularly helpful or relevant for you here and now today. However, the concept of Sacred Geometry can actually support you.
The beginnings of research I’ve carried out into the Kolorlan System have demonstrated water molecules responding to Kolorlan geometries in a way that is structured and organised (the image below shows an example of this, and you can read more about the research on this page). In our human bodies – which are such a high proportion of water – the research of Dr Gerald Pollock has indicated that organised, structured water molecules actually serve the purpose of protecting our cells and allowing them to better communicate, which may lead to better health.

But I also want to introduce another idea, which I’m going to develop in the next article. The symbols of Sacred Geometry can actually offer us simple frameworks for bringing new perspective to life. And with new perspective comes the capacity to heal old wounds and begin introducing new behaviour patterns that are more supportive.
So, that is where I will be inviting you to travel next, as we focus on just one specific geometry and its capacity to shed new light on our human struggles. I hope you will join me, and thank you for allowing me to indulge in a favourite topic about which I feel very passionate!
